Point of Sale
Overview
Any of the transactions can be used as a Point-of-Sale interface.
If invoices are created, items can be added by searching and selecting the items or by scanning a barcode.
Settings
Navigation: Main Menu > Setup > Settings > Transactions (tab)
- POS > Cash Sales Customers: Provides a dropdown list of all the customers for users to select the account in which case sales are recorded.
- POS > Transaction limit for Cash Sales (Vat No. not required): A field to type a number.
Using Barcodes
- Barcodes can be added to all the prices in Items' Costing & Pricing tabs:
- Select Barcode from the Field Chooser (*) to display the column.
- Click the Barcode field and enter or scan the barcode.
- When a barcode is scanned, the barcodes added to the various price fields are checked and the applicable field is selected based on the transaction's pricing setup. (For example, if the transaction type uses Sell Price, the Sell Price that matches the barcode is used.)
