Production Planning - Gantt Tutorial
Overview
Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Gantt View displays the job in detail and includes a visual representation of the job sequence.
These tutorials explain the Gantt View and the related functions.

How to Understand the Gantt View
ℹ️ The Gantt View lists all the tasks that must be performed for a particular stage and displays a visual representation of their durations. It requires either a Stage or a Job to be selected.
- Navigate to Production Planning > Menu (button) > Gantt.
- Stage = Select a stage from the dropdown list or
- Job = Select a job from the dropdown list.
- Click View (button).
- If a stage is selected:
- The stages are listed on the left
- The durations of the jobs are blocked off and colour-coded according to their statuses.
- If a job is selected:
- A Status Bar displays the following information:
- Status: The status of the job.
- Status Note: Any status note.
- Required Date: The date and time by which the customer requires the job.
- Start Date: The scheduled or actual start date and time.
- Due Date: The date and time by which Production is scheduled to complete the job.
- The Header section displays the following information that is filled in from the transaction (e.g. Work Order):
- Customer
- Contact
- Reference
- From
- Assign to
- Rep
- Date
- Entity
- All the stages applicable to the job are listed on the left.
- The duration of each stage is blocked off on the calendar and colour-coded according to its status.
- A Status Bar displays the following information:
How to Change the Time Scale of the Gantt Display
- Navigate to Production Planning > Menu (button) > Gantt.
- Click Hours, Quarter Days, or Days next to Time Scale on the top row.
- Select a Stage or Job from the respective dropdown lists.
- Click View (button).
How to Filter Tasks by their Statuses
- Navigate to Production Planning > Menu (button) > Gantt.
- Stage = Select a stage from the dropdown list or
- Job = Select a job from the dropdown list.
- Click View (button).
- Check the checkboxes next to New or Complete on the top row.
- Click View (button).
