Production Planning - Timekeeping Tutorial
Overview
Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks.
The Timekeeping view displays all the timekeeping records.
These tutorials explain how to use the Timekeeping functions.

How to Display a List of Timekeeping Records
- Navigate to Production Planning > Menu (button) > Timekeeping (as an example).
- Adjust the filters as required.
- Click View (button).
How to Change Timekeeping Statuses
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Select the entries you want to change. Use Ctrl + Left click to select multiple entries.
- Click Actions (button) > Batch Update.
- Select Status next to Update.
- Select a status on the dropdown list.
- Click Update (button).
- Confirm the change on the popup.
How to Change the Completed Quantities
ℹ️ The completed quantities can be changed for individual records by clicking Edit (button) and overtyping the amount in the Completed column.
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Select the entries you want to change. Use Ctrl + Left click to select multiple entries.
- Click Actions (button) > Batch Update.
- Select Completed Qty next to Update.
- Type a quantity in the adjacent field.
- Click Update (button).
- Confirm the change on the popup.
How to Change the Spoiled Quantities
ℹ️ The spoiled quantities can be changed for individual records by clicking Edit (button) and overtyping the amount in the Spoiled column.
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Select the entries you want to change. Use Ctrl + Left click to select multiple entries.
- Click Actions (button) > Batch Update.
- Select Spoiled Qty next to Update.
- Type a quantity in the adjacent field.
- Click Update (button).
- Confirm the change on the popup.
How to View Certain Stages
- Navigate to Timekeeping.
- Select a Date Option next to Set (optional).
- Click the dropdown list next to Stage and select a Stage from the dropdown list.
- Click View (button).
How to View Certain Statuses
- Navigate to Timekeeping.
- Select a Date Option next to Set (optional).
- Click inside the block next to Show and select Active or Complete from the dropdown list.
- Click View (button).
How to View Quantity Adjustments
- Navigate to Timekeeping.
- Select a Date Option next to Set (optional).
- Click inside the block next to Show and select Qty Adjustments from the dropdown list.
- Click View (button).
How to View Linked Transactions
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Right click an entry and select Open Transaction from the context menu. The source transaction (e.g. Work Order) will be opened.
- Click Menu (button) > Summaries > Linked Transactions to display a list of linked transaction. Else click Links (button) to see a list of transaction codes and numbers.
How to View the Linked Job Details
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Right click an entry and select View/Edit Job from the context menu.
- The View/Edit Job interface is opened.
How to View the Cost of Sales Report
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Right click an entry and select Open Cost of Sales from the context menu.
How to Edit the Timekeeping Record
- Display a list of timekeeping records.
- Right click an entry and select Open Timekeeping from the context menu.
- On the list of timekeeping records (that are filtered for the specific transaction), right click an entry and select Edit from the context menu.
- Edit any fields as required if the status still allows editing. If not, first change the status to a prior status and click Save (button) to trigger the change. Remember to change the status back after editing the record.
- Click Save (button).
