Dashboard
Overview
Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Planning Dashboard displays a visual representation of the current and upcoming jobs.
The jobs are grouped by the different stages or departments as displayed on the left.
A legend is displayed in the top right corner.

Buttons Explained
- Refresh: Updates the dashboard with any changes made in production or on the Tracker.
- Menu:
- Views: Switches to the different views:
- Dashboard: A visual representation of all the Stages.
- Jobs: A list of all the Jobs in the queue.
- Tasks: This view displays all the Tasks in Planning in a grid view.
- Materials: A list of all the Materials needed and their Availability.
- Outwork: A list of all the outsourced jobs and their Statuses.
- Board: This view is an ordered list of the production Stages - each Stage containing an ordered list of Tasks or Groups (Task Packages).
- Gantt: A detailed list of every Stage or Job, listing all the tasks and times accompanied by a visual representation.
- Timekeeping: A list of all the Timekeeping Records.
- Settings
- Edit Stages: Creates the Stages that are displayed on the graph.

Buttons Explained
- Update: Allows multiple records to be updated:
- Shift: Provides a dropdown list of work shifts for users to select a shift for the stage.
- Team: Changes the number of team members to the number typed in the adjacent block.
- Edit: Allows the Shift and Team columns to be edited for each stage separately.
- Save: Appears if Edit mode is active. Saves any changes. Greyed out if there are no changes to save.
Fields Explained
- Field Chooser (*): Allows fields to be added or removed.
- ID: The system-generated number for the entry.
- Status: The stage's status.
- Description: The name of the stage.
- Code: The abbreviation for the stage.
- Shift: The shift selected for the stage.
- Team: The number of team members that usually complete the stage.
- Update: The date on which the stage was last updated.
- Updated by: The user who last updated the stage.
Graph Explained
- X Axis:
- Lists the Stages (departments/cost centres/workstations) that have been set up for the organisation.
- Shows a column for each Status as per the legend on the top left. The legend is clickable and can be used to hide or display specific statuses.
- Y Axis:
- Displays the Time for the task.
- Estimate hours are shown for tasks that are not yet actively being produced.
- Actual hours are shown for tasks that are being produced.
