Desktop 26.02

Release Date: 19/08/2026

Enhancements

General

Version 26.02 - Going forward, a version number will be assigned for each minor upgrade, 26.02, 26.03, etc. Minor versions are for tracking only, making it easier to see if a customer is on the latest version. The only upgrade path will be to the latest minor version. (Same as it is now.)

The application has been updated to a modern Windows 11 look and feel with the following options (See Status bar > Menu - Bottom right of screen):

  • Light - Compact (Default)
  • Dark - Compact
  • Light - Regular
  • Dark - Regular

Note: The default Tile Menu color has been changed from Navy blue to a lighter blue that works better in Light mode or Dark mode. However, existing menu colours are not changed. Minor UI tweaks have been applied to support the new skins. The Layout setting persisted in the user's config.ini file located in the Temp folder.

Estimating - if the Pricing tab is not visible, you are no longer able to update the Total or /Unit prices in the side panel.

Currencies - the General settings for the Major and Minor currencies (e.g. Rand/Cents) have been moved to the Currencies table so they can be applied to all the currencies. The upgrade script will convert the settings to the local currency only.

Transactions - The total (Inc) in text field (TOTALVATTEXT) is now generated in the Transaction currency using the new settings in the currency table (see above). (Previously this field displayed text for local currency only.)

Service Manager - The Project Summary has been updated to save data filters. Use Case: Save Task views by Resource. Expand and Collapse buttons have been added to the Profit/Loss tab. Note: If you filter on Project (Item) Status, the linked SM Ticket are filtered to an Active status.

Output - User Access was added to Output templates. If no user access is assigned, all users will have access. i.e. After the upgrade all users will have access to output templates, same as before the upgrade. Use Case example: Users don't have access to view the Profit/Loss on a Service Ticket, but they can view it on an Output template.

Production Enhancements

The Actions button is disabled if its dropdown menu is empty.

An Entity filter has been added to the Dashboard, Job View and Board View. The filter is applied using the Transaction Entity and is visible if entities exist in the database.

Changes were made to the scheduling algorithm to allow for certain services in a work order not being managed on the Planning Board.

A General Setting > Production Planning > Show Completed Quantity in Routing (Default = No) has been added. When yes, the Completed and Required Qty are displayed in the Task Routing fields in the format Completed/Required - e.g. (3/4)

Transactions > Edit View - A Menu (button) > Open in Production Planning has been added. This menu item allows you to easily find the job in Production Planning and is visible if the Transaction uses Production Planning.

Staff - Rates (My Organisation)

A Production & Timekeeping tab has been added to separate the fields used for this functionality. The following fields have been added.

  • Operator - existing
  • Cost Centre - existing
  • Stage - existing - can be updated in Production module
  • Shift - existing - can be updated in Production module
  • Rate (km) - new field
  • Rate (Hr) - Renamed from Hourly Rate. If this field is blank, the Cost Centre rate is assigned.

Weighbridge Enhancements

A General Setting > Weighbridge > Item Category for Containers (e.g. = 2, in (1,2,3)) was added to define where Containers may be selected from.

Container Items require a weight in kg - you can assign the Item Weight in the Estimating tab on the Item's edit view.

The following fields have been added to the Weighbridge module:

  • Container (CTR) - Select from Items - filtered by Category setting above.
  • CTR In - Enter the number of containers coming in
  • CTR Out - Enter the number of containers going out.

The Pallet Qty, Pallet Weight, Flowbin Qty, Flowbin Weight columns were removed. (The upgrade does not delete them from the database, however)

Timekeeping Enhancements

A Rate (Km) field was added, and the Rate field has been renamed to Rate (Hr). Batch update has been added for both fields.

List View - The default visible column list has been updated (simplified) - the upgrade resets the grid view to the default. A Hint has been added to the Exceptions filter.

Edit View - Layout adjustments have been made to allow for new fields.

A computed field has been added to the list view - Total Travel - km x rate (km).

The Total Cost is now calculated as follows:

  • ((Rate (Km) x Km) + (Rate (Hr) x Hours))

Fixes

Tech Note: DevExpress Skins have been removed from the uses clause in all modules in favour of using a global skin setting.

Fixed: Timekeeping - you were not able to use Batch Updates to clear the Shift column. Updated Trigger: The shift is now updated if the Operator is changed and the shift field is blank. (To allow Batch Updates to clear Shift)

Fixed: An error was returned when you saved an item (From last fix upgrade - 14/08).

Fixed: Inventory > Accounting - records were duplicated in some cases.

Fixed: The Output for a Statement of Financial Position was truncating if 'Show All' was not checked.
